Police Investigate Deadly Collision Involving Pedestrian in Escondido

A pedestrian is dead after a collision Thursday night in Escondido that may have been intentional.
The incident was reported just after 9:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of South Maple Street, according to police. First responders arrived at the scene to find one person deceased, and investigators appeared to be focused on a vehicle that was parked in a partially-opened garage at the location.
